Security-Widefield is a “census designated place” in unincorporated El Paso County. It’s situated in a 14.1 square mile area between the cities of Colorado Springs and Fountain, Colorado and pretty much encompasses all of the 80911 and 80925 zip codes.

Population is around 33,000 people in 12,000 households. Despite not being an incorporated city, Security-Widefield ranked second in NerdWallet’s 2014 survey of top Colorado growth cities, based on population growth, employment growth and income growth.

It’s often been said that Security-Widefield has a rural, small town flavor with big city convenience. It has no municipal government, but it has utilities, fire department, library, community center, shopping centers, ballfields, great schools and parks. It’s also a couple of minutes from Fountain and Colorado Springs, with quick access to I25, Academy Blvd, Hwy 115, Fort Carson, Powers Blvd and it’s just a 5-10 minute drive from the Colorado Springs Airport.
